Oh Lord, Our God, How Wonderful Your Name in All the Earth (Ps 8: 1).
It is fitting, on this Trinity Sunday when we proclaim the great mystery of the Triune God, that we praise Him. How wonderful indeed is His name! We are so accustomed to all that surrounds us that we fail to appreciate the wonders of creation, “the moon and the stars that He set into place” (Ps 8:4). Yet, it is all His work, and all is sustained by His love.
Crowning all this, He makes man and makes him in His image. And still not content with all this wonder, He, the Son, takes flesh of the Virgin to redeem man, who had failed and spurned Him. We can never be thankful enough.
On this glorious feast of the Most Holy Trinity in which we contemplate the great mystery of the God who loved us into existence, let us gratefully mark ourselves with the sign of our redemption, the Holy Cross, invoking Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Let us do it reverently, asking this Blessed Trinity that creates, redeems, and sanctifies, to be always with us so that we may walk in His ways.
On this Father’s Day, we ask the Holy Trinity to bless our fathers, that they may be a faithful reflection of that Trinitarian love. May the blessing of almighty God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, come down on you and remain with you forever.
